The concert took place in a cosy and not to big theatre. The red velour’s curtains were closed when we entered the theatre
and were opened when the concert started. That was very funny because Alessandro was already standing on the stage and
started immediately with his first song ‘Incanto’. After this song he said hello to the audience and told us that he was
very happy to be in the Netherlands again. Then he sang the beautiful song ‘Del perduto amore’. After this song he announced
that he was going to sing ‘Sognami’ and we made belly dance movements. He saw that and had to laugh at us!
Then he called Fiorenza Calogero on the stage and he introduced her to us. She started to sing and he left to go backstage.
Fiorenza sang the beautiful song called ‘Stringimi’ and after that another beautiful Italian song. Daniele Bonaviri, the
guitarplayer who played during the first concerts of Alessandro in the Netherlands in 2001, accompanied her on guitar. It
was very nice to see him play again. Then Alessandro came on stage again and he sang together with Fiorenza the wonderful
duet ‘Cu’mme’.
It was very nice to see that Alessandro and Fiorenza could get along with each other. They made jokes between the songs and
there was a real chemistry between them.
Fiorenza went backstage and Alessandro started to sing the wonderful song ‘Venezia al tramonto’. and after this song ‘Non
avendo te’. I always get goose bumps when he sings that song, it’s so emotional. ‘Tous les visages de l’amour passed by and
when he started to sing ‘Luna’ everybody clapped and sang together with him. It’s always great to hear the song that made
him famous! Then Alessandro announced that he would take a five minute break, haha! Well, the break lasted a little longer,
but that was no problem, because we could use the time to go to the toilet and to get a drink. We’ve got a sour throat of
singing with him!
After the break Alessandro started with the song ‘Il nostro concerto’ and when that ended he sang the song ‘Non dimenticare’.
That was the first time we heard that song in Holland and it was great.
‘Malle femina’ was the next song on his repertoire and the beautiful ‘Il Mondo’. Alessandro was very relaxed, had lots of
fun and he couldn’t stop singing! After the break Alessandro started with the song ‘Il nostro concerto’ and when that ended
he sang the song ‘Non dimenticare’. That was the first time we heard that song in Holland and it was great. ‘Malle femina’
was the next song on his repertoire and the beautiful ‘Il Mondo’. Alessandro was very relaxed, had lots of fun and he
couldn’t stop singing! It was again time for Fiorenza to sing a song and she started with the well known song from ‘Carmen’
and then a wonderful Italian song of which I don’t know the title anymore. Alessandro came on stage again and stood next to
her and he wanted to announce the next song but… he didn’t know the title anymore! He said, well, it’s something German,
haha. It was the duet‘Dein ist mein ganzes herz’. After this wonderful duet Alessandro sang alone again and he started with
the famous song from ‘the Godfather’ ‘Parla piu piano’.
The audience loved the song and Alessandro did the next song, ‘Al di la’ and the world famous song ‘Volare’, to end it all
with the duet ‘Non ti scordar di me’ that he sang together with Fiorenza. Fiorenza left the stage again and Alessandro sang
the song that everybody knows, ‘O sole mio’. After this song Fiorenza entered the stage again and together the treated us
with the sang ‘the Prayer’, that was so beautiful and emotional, wow! Again a goose bump moment!
When the first notes of ‘Funiculi funicula’ sounded, we started to clap and everybody followed us and clapped also. We sang
together with Alessandro and Fiorenza, all the people reacted enthusiastically. It was so great to see Alessandro sing this
song together with Fiorenza. They had so much fun together on the stage, it was really a great sight!
After this swinging song it was time for the last song accordingly to Alessandro. And when we all yelled aaaahhh, no, not
the last song. He laughed and said: Joke! Together with Fiorenza he started to sing the emotional song ‘Con te partiro’.
The room was very quite, it was so beautiful to hear this. After this song they received flowers of the organisation.
But fortunately it wasn’t the end of the concert. We clapped and Alessandro talked with the orchestra leader and then he
sang ‘Torna al surriento’. But the real masterpiece of the evening was the last song. To our surprise he began to sing
‘Nessun Dorma’, wow, that was amazing!!! Alessandro was very happy after this song. He pointed at the orchestra leader to
tell him that he had don it and then he made a jump in the air of joy! It was almost half past ten and the amazing concert
was over. Satisfied and relishing the concert everybody went home. What a wonderful evening!
Grazie mille Alessandro, tu sei GRANDE !!!
